Johann Padioleau

founder

Johann is the Founder and Managing Director of Leopard Resources with over 15 years’ experience in the industry. 

 

Prior to establishing LR, Johann was Executive Director at Aiteo (Upstream) from 2013 to 2018, and played a key role in the acquisition, transition phase and production ramp-up of OML29 (Nigeria), most prolific oil block in SubSahara Africa. Previously, he held senior posts at Addax & Oryx Group in an energy hedge fund ($800 AUM) co-managed with Lombard Odier.

 

Prior he held several positions at Addax Petroleum Corp. (Nigeria, Gabon, Kurdistan) starting in Economics & Planning, Reserves booking, and ending as a Corporate Finance director (Investor Relations and M&A). 

 

Between 2008 and 2010, Johann was Southern and Central Europe YP Director at SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineer). He is also currently a board member of Petrovalues (USA) and Leen Energy (Germany). He began his career in 2003 as a Petroleum engineer at BNP Paribas with postings in Paris and Russia, where he worked on major Structured Finance (RBL) transactions.

 

Johann holds an Executive MBA from HEC Paris, a MSc in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot Watt University (Edinburgh) and MSc in Civil Engineering from ESTP Paris.

Loic Godail

Chief Operating Officer

Loïc is Chief Operating Officer with almost 20 years’ experience in the industry. 


Prior to joining LR, Loïc was acting as petroleum advisor and technical manager for various E&P stakeholders, from local independent firms to integrated groups and international banks. He has gained a solid experience in Middle East (Iraq, Saudi Arabia, UAE…) and West Africa (Nigeria, Congo, Angola…). Recently, he advised KAR Group on the development strategy of Khurmala Dome of Kirkuk field.
 

Previously he acted as technical leader at Oryx Petroleum and ShaMaran Petroleum focusing on offshore and onshore developments, reserves processes (IPO), and new ventures opportunities. From 2006 to 2010, he led the reservoir and operational aspects of Taq Taq (Kurdistan) development for Addax Petroleum, capitalizing on his deep knowledge of Middle East reservoirs. 
 

He began his career in 2000 as a reservoir engineer at Beicip-Franlab, Paris (IFP group), where he developed strong skills in petroleum engineering, fractured reservoirs, reserves evaluation. He ended as integrated-project leader for Saudi Aramco and Sinopec.
 

Loïc holds an Executive MBA from IMD (Lausanne) and a MSc in Petroleum Engineering from IFP School (Paris). He is also a graduate from Ecole des Mines (St Etienne).

Vincent Bernard

Head, G&G

Vincent is VP, G&G of Leopard Resources with over 15 years’ experience in the industry.
 

Prior to joining LR, Vincent was Sr Geophysicist at Addax Petroleum (Upstream) from 2007 to 2017 and played a key role in the evaluation of resources of the company and in the development of various fields located in
Nigeria, Cameroon, Gabon, Irak and North Sea.

 

Between 2004 and 2007 Vincent was a geophysicist with Total Angola, active in Exploration (one major discovery).
 

Between 2000 and 2004 he was a geophysicist with Total Indonesia working in the development of giant gas fields.

Vincent holds a post-graduate degree in Petroleum Geology from IFP School (Paris, France) and a in Geology MSc from Lyon University (France).

Vincent Devaux

Head, Geophysics

Vincent is a Senior Geophysicist at Leopard Resources with over 20 years’ experience in the Oil  & Gas industry, mostly from TOTAL EP, and having worked on a wide diversity of offshore and onshore assets from Africa, South America and Gulf of Mexico.


Until recently and prior to joining LR, Vincent has been a Principal Geophysicist at PHILIA SA (Switzerland) since 2015. From the use of state of the art seismic acquisition and processing technologies, his works revealed for the first time an exploration potential of several hundred million barrels of recoverable oil in the pre-salt domain of the Marine XIII block, offshore Congo. 


Prior to working at PHILIA SA, Vincent held for over 18 years a number of Senior Geophysicist ositions at TOTAL EP in various countries, working on a broad spectrum of geophysical activities including 3D and 4D land and marine seismic acquisitions, seismic processing and seismic interpretation. He was also involved in the follow-up of several exploration and delineation wells, all of them leading to hydrocarbon discoveries in line with his geophysical predictions. Two of those successful wells were drilled in offshore Nigeria when Vincent was a seismic interpreter
geophysicist on Ukot, Egina and Usan assets between 2004 and 2007. Along his career, Vincent has been developing a true expertise in seismic prospecting aimed at valorizing resources in some of the most challenging geological settings such as in deep pre-salt and complex tectonic domains. His contributions have been regularly published in a significant number of papers and presented in some renown international congresses around the world. 


Vincent holds a Master of Science in Geophysics (diplome d´Ingénieur) from the School of Geophysics of the University of Strasbourg (France), and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the Universty of Clermont-Ferrand. He started is career as a Research Geophysicist developing leading edge 3D seismic imaging algorithms at the Houston Advanced Research Center laboratory attached to Rice University in Houston, Texas.

Head, Geology

More than 20 years’ international experience in the Oil & Gas industry (NOC’s, IOC’s, Consultancy, Service Companies) with a proven track record in reservoir modelling, field development, geological well operations, complex data processing/integration, corporate and asset-level M&A, integrated technical due-diligence, unitisation/redetermination, project management and technical training.

A. Gooch

Head, Operations

Alfred is the  VP, Operations with over 25 years experience in the industry.
 

Prior to joining us, Alfred was the Technical Manger for the Nigerian Assets of Addax Petroleum. He joined Addax in 2010 and between 2010 and 2017 held a number of roles with increasing seniority and found a number of opportunities to develop the fields and increase production.

 

Previously he worked as a Senior Consultant to a number of clients all over the world including Centrica PLC, Venture Production plc, Canadian Natural Resources, Talisman Energy, Britannia Operator, Kerr McGee, Fina and Premier Oil.


He began his career in 1991 as a Reservoir Engineer at Conoco with postings in London and Aberdeen.
 

Alfred holds an MEng in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot Watt University (Edinburgh) and a BEng in Engineering from the University of Aberdeen.
